Jack Zervos - Business Development - Execucon
Jack is the Managing Director of Execucon, a company that develops and defines actions that will close the gap between the performance and the potential of its clients. Earning a Diploma in Industrial Electronics from TAFE, a Bachelors Degree in Science and an MBA in Business Management both from the University of Canterbury, Jack accrued 26 years of experience with numerous prestigious companies such as Honeywell, A.H. Beard, Pacific Brands and Steinhoff.
When asked what his greatest achievements are Jack states "As a young project manager every project you work on and are a part of is a proud achievement, as a business leader the opportunity to develop and mentor young talent and see them progress into leadership roles is equally satisfying but catching up with anyone who once worked for you years later with them now in leadership roles and having them look you in the eyes and say “you were the best boss I ever had” is undeniably the most rewarding and satisfying of anything you can achieve in your professional life and I’m privileged to have had that happen many times."
Jack himself was "identified" as a "young kid with potential" by the Managing Director of his first employer and states that he was lucky enough to develop through that organisation from that point on. Jack views his success as an outcome of being in the right place at the right time and impressing the right leader enough to have them take an interest in him by mentoring, developing, supporting and giving them reason to return through meeting their expectations and never letting them down. He sees things as they can be, not as they are and works towards making them happen. Jack is committed to developing those around him to be the best they can be and hopefully better than he ever was without fear or favor.
With an ever widening spectrum of talents, Jack began at Execucon with the confidence, leadership and determination necessary to drive his company toward success. A dedicated problem solver, Jack utilizes his unique blend of abilities to analyze each client’s position and provide strategic solutions to help them attain their goals. Paralleling his directorship, Jack dually serves as General Manager for Bed N’ Dreams a refreshing new company offering retail bedding.
Jack is affiliated with the Furnishing Industry Association of Australia and the New South Wales Industry Training Advisory Board. In his free time, Jack enjoys making a difference in people’s lives through change.

Execucon was established through unplanned circumstances, necessity and need. Having found himself at the end of his fourth consecutive business restructure and re-engineering assignment Jack was tired, as he states, "of making decisions that were not aligned with his personal values and beliefs but driven by illogical shareholder and Board decisions that contributed to the malaise of the business rather than its profitable sustainability."
When analysing the reasons why every business Jack had re-engineered or lead through a recovery had in his opinion found itself in that tenuous position to begin with they were all the same with the following: weak or dysfunctional leadership, lack of vision, lack of clarity and definition in roles and responsibilities, a disconcert between stakeholders (employees; suppliers and customers), poor brand definition or understanding, inefficient or undefined processes and waste.
Thus Jack decided that rather than continuing to manage the consequences of these organisational failings he would commit to working with like minded business leaders to address them before they became debilitating to the business. He took the approach "that it's much more rewarding to work at preventing the organisational disease than being the person always charged with performing the amputation in order to save the body."
